Services

LCDSNB offers a broad array of services to our community. Please explore the services we provide below.

Community Services are designed to increase the participant’s knowledge of, exposure, and participation in their community through teaching self-determination, socialization, self-advocacy, and volunteerism.

Individual Employment Services enable participants the opportunity to be gainfully employed in a competitive work environment. This can include assisting with job development, training, and efforts to sustain employment long-term.

Career Prep Services are designed to prepare participants for employment through knowledge of and exposure to a variety of careers through teaching work related skills such as attendance, problem solving, safety, task completion, and appropriate interactions with others.

Residential Services include the care, skills training, and supervision provided to participants in a non-institutional setting. The degree and type of care, supervision, skills training, and support are based on the plan and the participants needs. The goal is to provide these services in the least restrictive setting while providing for the individual’s health and safety.

Case Management Services assure that individuals who are eligible for DDSN services have access to a full array of necessary services that will enable them to live meaningful lives within their community. Case Managers may plan for and facilitate the delivery of services to meet the specific needs of each individual supported. Case Managers assure that services are appropriate and effective and, as needed, make referrals and/or link people to appropriate service providers.

Building Dreams Early Intervention Services work with children ages 0-6 with developmental delays and special needs to help them catch up with their same age peers. Once qualified for this FREE service, dedicated Early Interventionists will schedule visits at the child’s home or daycare to work on specific developmental needs. Early Interventionists can also help set up any services that may benefit the child and family and are dedicated to helping them succeed while helping build their dreams.
